Just a short window in the weather was suitable for visiting Burhou to ring seabirds, our enthusiastic team focused on the Lesser black backed Gull colony yesterday afternoon.
They then ringed Storm Petrels overnight, a tremendous team effort resulted in around 500 birds processed in total which included Storm Petrel, Lesser black backed Gull, Herring Gull, Great black backed Gull, Shag and Oystercatcher.

The totals also included 12 Petrel foreign controls ( 7 UK, 5 France).
