Today’s ABO members boat trip went like a dream as in good sea conditions bird sightings exceeded everyone’s expectations (including the ABO warden!).
Using local leading boat trip operator Avanti tours we headed out to the Gannet colony on Ortac Rock after taking in the Puffins off Burhou island.
To our surprise and delight we got fabulous views of rafts of Balearic Shearwaters. Manx Shearwaters, Kittiwake, Common Terns, Cormorant, Shags, Guillemots, Razorbills and Peregrines.
