We are delighted to report that Dartford Warblers are having the best year since we began recording them in 2016.
Breeding pairs are busy getting on with second broods.
Ringing this species next autumn at various sites should prove interesting and hopefully reflect the positive signs we have recorded so far.

Guillemot
Matt and I are just back from a few days leading a Wildlife tour on the neighbouring island of Sark for Naturetrek naturalist holidays.
We recorded almost 400 species of fauna & flora the highlights were many but included a pod of around 30 Common Bottlenose Dolphins, 2 Honey Buzzards, Fiery Clearwing moth, Little Robin (Wildflower) White spotted chafer (Beetle), Nathusius’s pipistrelle bat and Atlantic Scaly Cricket.

Robin
A very nice ringing control record came in today, a Robin ringed on Alderney by local trainee John Weir in September 2019 was recovered yesterday just shy of 2000km away in Estonia.
