Brambling

This first winter female Brambling was the pick of the birds ringed this morning. A French ringed Chiffchaff was our 19th foreign control of the year. A locally scarce Mistle Thrush was also seen today.

Iliacus & Coburni, these last few days have seen a few icelandic Redwings, the darker bird with the much browner undertail coverts is coburni. We get a few at the back end of each Redwing movement every autumn.
