After a few days of high winds and rain we were due our first movement of passerines during a morning ringing session. Migrating Willow Warblers, Sedge Warblers and Garden Warblers were well represented amongst 60 birds ringed, the mist netting this morning also evidenced the successful breeding of Cetti’s Warbler and two very recently fledged Firecrests finally confirmed the successful breeding of this species in Alderney.
