Another busy morning saw 165 birds ringed including Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Firecrests and a Grey Wagtail. A Marsh Harrier prospected along the north-east coast this afternoon and a Common Redstart was present close to the Longis ‘Naturetrek’ hide.

Visual migration is progressing, yesterday our first Skylarks and Siskins of the autumn were coming through along with small flocks of Chaffinches.

Late afternoon today in the howling gales a large gathering of seabirds fishing off Mannez lighthouse included around 60 Arctic Terns and a juvenile Sabine’s Gull.
