Fairly strong Westerly winds all day kept the few grounded migrants present low and hard to see but visiting ringer Jenny Wallace found a Wryneck in Barrack Masters Lane near the Obs and a Common Redstart in the same area.

The Naturetrek group had 7 Sanderlings, 1 Grey Plover and 4 Bar-tailed Godwits on Braye beach first thing where there was also a Grey Heron. Later along the south cliffs path a female Peregrine, singles of Whinchat, Chiffchaff and Goldcrest, and a group of 9 House Martins battling against the wind. A Water Rail called from the pond in the dip and a Kestrel put up flock of Linnet from the airport at least 60 strong. In the ploughed farm fields opposite the geese a Greenland Wheatear. In the afternoon 2 Wheatears at Bibbets and a Sparrowawk and Chiffchaff from Mannez hide. 3 Cormorants off the point behind the lighthouse and a Mediterranean Gull past. There were lots of Small Copper butterflies in the vacinity of the Wildlife Bunker as the group recorded an impressive 11 species of butterfly, a wasp spider, and flora including Portland Spurge.
