September 23rd

Today most of the Obs and Wildlife Trust team attended the Inter-island Conservation conference in Guernsey. Arriving back at 5.15pm  there were 4 Bar-tailed Godwits on Braye beach and 2 Mediterranean Gulls in the bay.

Southerly winds all day but our visiting ringers managed 27 new birds this morning 16 of which were Blackcaps, also 1 Sedge Warbler and 2 Chiffchaffs.

The Autumn visit Naturetrek group arrived this afternoon for a 4 day visit so there will be some more birding coverage for the island for a few days.
