Another day of strong NW winds and showers. There was 1 Bar-tailed Godwit in Longis Bay and Joe England had a Woodcock fly over Longis reserve. There were still plenty of Thrushes being swept around by todays gales. Tomorrows conditions look much more settled.

Ringing was again possible at Kiln Farm where in a sheltered barn entrance we caught 31 Starlings. We also ringed what must certainly be the most common bird that was still missing from the Alderney ringing list, Collared Dove ! The dove was our 75th species ringed since March and the 97th species ringed in Alderney. Since the Obs began we have added 20 species to the Island ringing total, that will be hard to match next year !
