June 10th

Today we had our 3rd species of Hawkmoth in the Obs trap, the Privet Hawkmoth.  We are recording the moth species visiting Alderney consecutively over  3 nights as part of ‘National Moth Night’, starting last night. We have recorded over 70 species of moth already with 2 nights to go. I will hopefully include a full list of species and numbers recorded in Sunday’s blog.
