Light southerly winds continued throughout the day. A Ring Ouzel was spotted at Giffoine and there Wheaters were reported from several locations across the island. An unusual record for the island was 3 Dunlin reported from Saye Bay.

Another fairly busy days ringing saw 162 more birds processed at the Observatory. This total was dominated by Blackcap (80) Willow Warbler (33) and Chiffchaff (31). We had our 9th control of the Spring, a UK ringed Willow Warbler and also had our second Whitethroat of the year.
