A promising start at the reserve first thing with a Reed Warbler singing heartily beside the hide and a cuckoo calling in the distance. However the wind soon got up and was followed by showers set in for the day. Before rain stopped play 40 birds were processed. These included our second our second Sedge Warbler.

3 Turnstone were reported from Longis beach

The Obs now has now obtained permission to ring in Barrack Masters Lane, a venue much admired as a hotspot for birds, nets will be put up at the location this week !
